Worf Succeeded Picard As Enterprise Captain Confirmed by Showrunner
Warning: SPOILERS for Star Trek: Picard Season 3, Episode 9 - "Vox"
Star Trek: Picard season 3 showrunner Terry Matalas confirms that Worf (Michael Dorn) became Captain of the USS Enterprise-E after Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) was promoted to Admiral. In Star Trek: Picard season 3, episode 9, Worf and the reunited crew of Star Trek: The Next Generation came aboard the USS Enterprise-D, which was restored by Commodore Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton). But when the subject of the missing Enterprise-E came up, a defensive Worf quickly interjected, "That was not my fault."
In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Terry Matalas definitively answered whether Worf saying "That was not my fault" in Star Trek: Picard season 3 means the Klingon succeeded Jean-Luc Picard as Captain of the USS Enterprise-E. Read his quote below:
Terry Matalas: It does. But I wanted to leave its exact fate open for someone to tell that story. It's more fun that way. Better left to the audience's imagination. What do you mean it wasn't his fault? Was it an accident? A mission gone wrong?! The possibilities are endless!
