The Batman"s Penguin Spinoff Update Avoids A Big Robert Pattinson Problem

The Batman will soon launch a spinoff series based on Colin Farrell's Penguin, and a new update from the spinoff avoids a big problem with Robert Pattinson. The Batman director Matt Reeves will serve as an executive producer, and is actively connected with development of the Penguin spinoff series for HBO Max, alongside Lauren LeFranc (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) serving as the showrunner of the series. The Batman introduced a new corner of the DC Universe, featuring Pattinson's Bruce Wayne and fellow iconic Batman characters such as Zoë Kravitz's Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Paul Dano's Riddler.
Farrell's Penguin design in The Batman made the character look nothing like the actor, aiding one of the best performances in the movie. The Penguin was a scene-stealer, despite the villain not yet being as big of a threat to Batman as he is known to be in the comics. That led to Penguin getting his own spinoff, which might even include Pattinson's Batman, according to a new rumor shared by Jeff Sneider on THE HOT MIC podcast.
