Though there is still a lot to be revealed about Kang after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the film established Kang’s history with the Avengers.
After Avengers: Endgame and the Infinity Saga as a whole, there were not many Marvel villains who could easily replace Thanos as the MCU’s main antagonist. One obvious choice was Kang, as the villain in the time travel chair has faced both the Avengers and the Fantastic Four countless times in the comics. Now, Kang’s MCU arrival sets up a unique confrontation with the Avengers.
