Chris Evans Crushes Hopes Of Captain America"s Secret War Return In Disappointing Update
As some hope to see Chris Evans reprise the role of
Captain America in Avengers: Secret Wars, the actor provides a disappointing update on those chances. While Anthony Mackie is now operating as the new Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many have been hoping to see Steve Rogers return in some capacity. Evans finished his time in the MCU back in Avengers: Endgame while also getting a happy ending with Peggy Carter.
While many are hoping for Steve's potential return to the MCU, that wish may not be coming to fruition any time soon. In a new interview with AP Entertainment, Evans gave a blunt response on the chances of him appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars. As much as Evans loves the role of Captain America, he doesn't want to return to the MCU just for the sake of it.
It’s not annoying at all. I love that role. I love that chapter of my life. And it’s because of that love that I’m apprehensive of doing anymore, because I’m just so precious about it, you know? You don’t want to tarnish this great thing that I got to be a part of.
