Actor Tim Blake Nelson has also been spotted on set, having been confirmed to be reprising his role from The Incredible Hulk as Doctor Samuel Sterns. In the original Marvel Comics, Sterns became the Hulk villain known as the Leader, his exposure to gamma making him as smart as the Hulk is strong. Likewise, the end of the 2008 film did see drops of Bruce Banner's gamma-irradiated blood landing on Sterns and mutating his mind, teasing a comic-accurate transformation into a super-genius. With Sterns having been absent in the MCU since The Incredible Hulk, it will be exciting to see what he's been up to in the interim.

The new set photos also feature Harrison Ford with Marvel having cast him as General Thunderbolt Ross in Captain America: New World Order, taking over the role from the late William Hurt. It's been confirmed that Ross will be President of the United States, an indication that the movie will feature a strong political narrative as the country and Captain America adjust to the new leadership. Having been a rival to Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk and later a key figure behind the Sokovia Accords in Captain America: Civil War, it's also been rumored that Ross will finally become the Red Hulk as he does in the comics.

Actor Danny Ramirez has been seen shooting scenes with Anthony Mackie as well, confirming his return as Joaquín Torres. Becoming an ally to Sam Wilson in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Torres was given Sam's old set of wings near the series' end, a tease that he'll become the MCU's new Falcon now that Wilson is the new Captain America. While Torres' comics counterpart had legitimate mutations as a human/falcon hybrid, it's more likely that the MCU version will simply have the old wings Wilson no longer needs after the Wakandans made him his own star-spangled suit (complete with its own flight rig).
