MCU Fan Poster Makes A Kang Variant The Main Villain Of A Marvel Show
The
Kang the Conqueror variant Rama-Tut gets imagined in new fan poster as the villain of a possible Moon Knight season 2. Rama-Tut was introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Marvel Studios' latest theatrical release, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. While the movie has missed the mark with critics, it did show the full range of actor Jonathan Majors as the MCU's new main villain, Kang. In one of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's post-credits scenes, Majors portrayed different Kang variants, who were members of the evil Council of Kangs, one of them being Rama-Tut from the pages of Marvel Comics.
On Instagram, artist Agt Design imagined the Egyptian Pharaoh Kang variant of Rama-Tut as the villain of the rumored Moon Knight season 2.
Marvel Studios' plan seems to be the spread of Kang the Conqueror's control over the multiverse, which started with the He Who Remains Kang variant being killed in Loki season 1. Judging by Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's second post-credits scene, the Kang variant Victor Timely should appear in Loki season 2. Based on that, it would make sense for other Kang variants to show up in upcoming MCU projects, with Rama-Tut being one of the variants singled out in the movie.
When Will Rama-Tut Return In The MCU?
The Rama-Tut variant of Kang was created when Nathaniel Richards was sent back into the far past through a time machine and ended up in Ancient Egypt in the year 2960 BC. The Kang variant crashed his ship in the desert and later used his advanced future technology to take control of the Egyptians, renaming himself Rama-Tut, the new Pharaoh. Rama-Tut demanded to be worshiped by the citizens of Egypt, making them reject the old gods — which did not sit well with Egyptian deity Khonshu.
That comic book storyline could be easily adapted into Moon Knight season 2. The show's first season delved deep into the role of Oscar Isaac's Marc Spector as the Fist of Khonshu. Moon Knight season 1 showed different Egyptian gods and how their relationship to their avatars was important, with the show partly taking place in Egypt. Moon Knight season 2 could see how Rama-Tut came to be, and perhaps was first defeated by Khonshu, only for the Kang variant to return, forcing Khonshu to enlist Moon Knight to defeat the villain.
