Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has arrived on Disney+, continuing the journey of Peter Parker"s Webslinger who has Norman Osborn as a new mentor in this alternate MCU reality. Offering Peter a job on the Oscorp Internship Program, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man episodes 3, 4, & 5 features Norman helping Peter Parker become the best hero he can be. As such, there are several Easter eggs and connections to Captain America: Civil War, ties to a classic costume from the comics, and more.
As established in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man episodes 1 & 2, Norman Osborn is set up to become Peter Parker"s mentor in this alternate MCU timeline, rather than Tony Stark. However, these new episodes confirm the events of Civil War are still happening, just differently and without Spider-Man. Likewise, there are even more comic connections and key MCU references to be found as well.
With that in mind, here are 26 of the biggest Easter eggs and references we found in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man episodes 3, 4, & 5.

"Nico's Foster Family" What Happened To Her Biological Parents?
Hanging out in Nico"s room, it"s revealed that Nico lives with a foster family. However,
a photograph on her nightstand can be seen that"s presumably Nico"s biological parents. To that end, it will be exciting to hopefully learn more about Nico and her magical history from the comics.

"Friends With Spider-Man" A Classic Comics Excuse Custom image by Ollie Bradley Having dinner with Norman Osborn, Peter initially tries to tell Norman that his security team must have been playing a trick on him, and that he"s not actually Spider-Man. However, Norman has irrefutable evidence as the footage is on his private cameras.
He also says that Peter would have been better off just saying that he and Spider-Man were friends, a common explanation used by Peter both in the comics and in the main MCU timeline.

"Don’t Tell Aunt May" Mirroring Civil War
Just like in the main MCU during his Civil War debut,
Peter"s first priority is that Aunt May can"t know that he"s Spider-Man, and Norman agrees. Peter would never want May to worry or fear for his safety while he"s out web-swinging, while also wanting to keep her safe. However, the main MCU"s Aunt May still finds out about Spider-Man all the same.

Norman Showing Video Peter Saving Harry
Norman shows Peter footage of Spider-Man saving his son Harry, explaining why he wants to mentor and help get Peter to the next level.
This also mirrors Civil War when Tony Stark shows Peter the footage of him catching a car while recruiting him to join him in Germany.

Droney! Spider-Man's Live-Action Sidekick Norman has lots of ideas for Spider-Man and new upgrades he can give him, but he quickly dismisses the idea of a drone as quickly as he comes up with it. However,
Iron Man did indeed include a mini-drone in the suit he made for Peter Parker, which the young hero named Droney in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Uncle Ben's Camera A Key Keepsake
Not unlike the suitcase Peter uses in Spider-Man: Far From Home,
this new Peter Parker now has his own keepsake that once belonged to his Uncle Ben thanks to his old camera. This is pretty given Spider-Man"s original day job in the comics as a photographer for the Daily Bugle.

110th St. Gang Teasing Lonnie's Future
Offering himself up in exchange for his brother,
Lonnie has no choice but to join the 110th St. Gang in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. In the comics, 110th St. is controlled by Lonnie Lincoln aka Tombstone. As such, this serves as a major tease that this new MCU show"s Lonnie may face a dark future and evolution as a notable Spider-Man villain and New York crime boss.

Maria Vasquez and James Sanders Tarantula and Speed Demon Maria Vasquez and James Sanders receive some high-tech gear from a mysterious benefactor. In the comics,
Vasquez is better known as the villain Tarantula, while Sanders is known as Speed Demon. As such, their new tech helps them resemble their comic book counterparts as new MCU villains, at least before Spider-Man brings their crime spree to an end with Norman"s guidance. Humorously, Speed Demon is voiced by Roger Craig Smith (a frequent voice actor for Sonic the Hedgehog).
18
Norman With T'Chaka The Original King of Wakanda At the beginning of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man episode 4,
Peter gets called up to Norman"s office where a photo of Norman standing with Wakanda"s King T"Chaka can be seen next to the photo of him with Captain America.
17
The Sokovia Accords The Airport Battle Still Happened (Without Spider-Man) On the news, it"s revealed that the airport battle in Germany still occurred, and that the Sokovia Accords are still in effect in this alternate MCU timeline. However, it seems as though the only difference was that Spider-Man simply wasn"t there. Likewise, Norman also tells Peter not to worry about the Accords, and that he"ll take care of it when and if it becomes a problem.
16
Spider-Man's Rejected Costumes Thor, Wasp, and More Close Offering Peter a variety of different costumes,
Norman provides Spider-Man with suits inspired by Thor, Wasp, and even a darker black wingsuit that feels like it could be a Batman reference (Peter even puts on a deeper, more intense voice). However, none of these new costumes really work for Peter, and Norman can"t help but agree.
15
"Nobody Likes Tough Guys" Some Dark Foreshadowing Concerned about Lonnie, Pearl tells him that he doesn"t have to be so tough, encouraging him to open up if he needs to.
However, the line about tough guys feels like a bit of foreshadowing considering Tombstone"s signature white and durable skin he receives from an experimental gas. That said, it remains to be seen if Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man"s Lonnie will meet the same villainous fate.
14
The Scorpions Mac Gargan & Carmilla Black The key rivals of the 110 are revealed to be the Scorpions who are trying to move in on Big Donovan"s territory.
The gang is led by Mac Gargan, the classic Scorpion villain from the comics who was also featured in Spider-Man: Homecoming buying weapons from Adrian Toomes" Vulture. However, the gang is also led by Carmilla Black, another Marvel character from the comics who goes by the codename Scorpion, having once been an agent of SHIELD and the daughter of AIM"s Scientist Supreme Monica Rappaccini.

Norman Criticizes Hulk and Iron Man Gamma Rage and Mad AI Custom Image By Karlis Wilde Wanting Spider-Man to be better than the Avengers of the current era,
Norman Osoborn criticizes both Bruce Banner and Tony Stark. He says they"re both one bad day away from a gamma rage-fueled rampage or destroying entire cities trying to stop Mad AI that they themselves created.
12
Future Foundation Suit A New Take on A Classic Costume While it"s not directly named as such, it"s clear that Spider-Man"s new suit is modeled after the Future Foundation suit in the comics, a white suit with black eyes that uniquely has blue and red accents in this new animated series. That said,
Norman"s desire for Spider-Man to be the first of a new generation of heroes basically confirms that the suit represents Peter Parker"s potential to be the foundation of the future Osborn envisions.
11
Russian Gang With Multiple Classic Villains Rhino, Unicorn, and Chameleon A gang of Russian criminals is featured in Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man episode 4, and many are notable villains from the comics.
This includes Dmitri Smerdyakov (Chameleon), Mikhail Sytsevich (Rhino"s father), Mila Masaryk (Unicorn), and Roxanna Volkov.

9 Doctor Otto Octavius One of Spider-Man's Biggest Foes
