Kyle Chandler gears up as the DC superhero Hal Jordan in the Lanterns TV show in new art, after he was reported to be joining the DC Universe franchise. With James Gunn"s DC Universe on the horizon, several films and TV shows are in various stages of development, with some of them having reached the casting process. For the Lanterns TV show, DC Studios is currently looking for the leading men who will play Hal Jordan and John Stewart - though the former has reportedly been found.
For the role of Hal Jordan in Lanterns, Chandler is reportedly in talks to join the HBO drama, though DC Studios and Warner Bros. TV have yet to comment. While the world awaits confirmation, popular graphic artist Julian Bell shared new art of what the Friday Night Lights star could look like as Green Lantern. Check it out below.
Chandler"s casting reports came not long after it was revealed that Marvel Cinematic Universe star Josh Brolin had passed on the offer to star in Lanterns. If Chandler signs on for Lanterns, it will mark the Bloodline actor"s first role as a superhero in the comic book movie/TV genre.
What The Kyle Chandler As Hal Jordan Art Means For The Upcoming Green Lantern TV Show Close As it has been less than a day since Chandler"s Lanterns casting report, seeing fan art for him emerge online already shows that there is clearly support for him as Hal. With someone as established as Chandler being eyed for Hal, it will definitely draw the interest of fans who have already followed him from other movies and TV shows. That also shows that HBO and DC Studios" goal to find someone recognizable for Hal on Lanterns is succeeding, as this is most definitely the type of response they are looking for as they are casting Lanterns.
