David Corenswet's
Superman pays homage to one of the most beloved DC Comics scenes of all time through new DC Universe art. DC Studios is busy getting several Chapter 1, "Gods and Monsters," movies and TV shows off the ground as they get ready to launch the new DC Universe. The first film to come out of the franchise will be 2025's Superman, featuring Corenswet as the next live-action take on Krypton's last son.
As Superman is currently in production, Gunn has revealed only one photo of Corenswet in the Superman suit, which received mixed responses. While the DC Universe audience waits to see more of the costume, Dimitrius Paranhos shared
artwork of Corenswet's Superman doing a legendary pose from the comic canon wherein the hero tears his shirt to reveal the superhero suit beneath it.
The Superman shirt-rip artwork with Corenswet is meant to serve as an homage to one of Alex Ross's most famous DC Comics works with the Man of Steel. Whether or not DC Studios will do any Superman movie marketing like this that brings to life popular DC art to live-action remains to be seen.
